The trunk of the opera singer

Old trunk of the opera singer Lise Landouzy Ornament cross of the biblical scenes

The history of some discovered items is revealed after research on the Internet, as this large travel trunk once belonged to a famous opera singer of the end of the Nineteenth Century: Lise LANDOUZY and was used for opera tours.

It is with these small details that one imagines beautiful stories, like the writing with a feather quill on the torn label on the top of the trunk, the small rusted key still hung with a string to the handle, and the marvelous work of this manufacturer of travel goods.

Arranging my recent finds in this pretty case immediately takes on a special meaning.

A flowered shelf

Old shelf of carved wood

My latest weekend finds could not wait to find a place in the house and present themselves to you in my own bric-a-brac style.

Scene of delicate flowers in carved wood
Some vines of wild, pure white roses intertwine this shelf of wood, carved with a scene of delicate flowers and beautiful arabesque.

The scent of linden

Dryed linden flowers and iced linden tea
The memory of gathering under the sweet scent of flowering linden trees and the warmth of the sun at the end of May.

Used for drying linden, my old crates are in very good company.

In the coolness of the old walls, a late afternoon, enjoy this moment to savor iced linden tea.

Some flowers to share...

 Bunch of roses

...To celebrate with you this second birthday.

Two years ago, I opened a small grey trunk and I wished to fill it with pretty memories.
Time passed, over the encounters, swaps... today, it's beyond my hopes.

Thank you so much !

In the early morning...

To compose an ephemeral decoration on the old wooden gate Old wire bottle basket, cheese drainer pots and mauve flowers

Enjoy the freshness of the morning, composing an ephemeral decoration on the old wooden gate.

Few mauve flowers Jayko pink waistcoat

Enjoy the pleasure of arranging four cheese drainer pots in an old wire bottle basket found last Thursday.
Then add a small romantic note with a few mauve flowers of intoxicating scent.

Stories of roses

On a child’s old wooden hanger, a small embroidered, nicely scalloped bib
Because the garden roses bloom so gently and because in my childhood memories beautiful stories tell us that girls are born in roses, I wished to present these small, found objects, which are without great value but are so endearing !

A pair of white leather baby shoes for which I had long hoped for...

And hanging on a child’s old wooden hanger, a small embroidered, nicely scalloped bib.

Another beautiful story that enchants me at each visit to this poetic universe, the one of my friend Patricia, creator of decorative items for children and of pretty “rabbit” dolls dressed in antique baby linen.

A beautiful encounter

Encounter with Minna Mercke
What beautiful memories of this wonderful meeting with Minna.
A week full of charm, complicity and exchanges.
Although our countries are so far apart, our two worlds are so close...
I found a sister of the heart and I’m very moved.
