Selected Pieces...
A few selected pieces of a bastide (country house) in Gard Provençal I enjoyed decorating.
This would suggest a restoration is not one! This whole building has just recently made with the old local techniques and structures: Provencal ceilings, terracotta floors, natural stone or colored cement, lime plaster walls and distemper, door and windows with stone, etc.
Also, with the mission to capture this old way spirit, I invited a few antique elements moderately.
In the bathroom, a double sink with feet found in an antique shop in Pezenas, backed by a pair of old shutters found in Anduze faces an enameled cast-iron bathtub.
While the kitchen is adorned with factory reflectors found in Uzes and a butcher's hook.

They certainly succeeded in creating that old look in a lovely way. I am loving the planks on that table.
