Taste of the South
It is the high season of summer fruits and the time to enjoy country melons, heirloom tomatoes, which are so inviting at the stalls of the market.
With these, I prepare a gazpacho with cilantro, a true treat.
I add to the ripe tomatoes a red pepper, an avocado, leaves of cilantro, a little salt and a drizzle of olive oil.
A very fresh taste !

This is my first visit to your blog and I was delighted to see the photo of those lovely melons!! whilst staying in Provence last summer we included a platter of thinly sliced melon with each meal - I have never tasted anything so sweet and delicious - it brought back happy memories of long lunches on our terrace looking out to Mont Ventoux
So lovely pictures! Love the colours of fall...=))

Time to enjoy the last fruits of summer! I love all of your photos, and the dishes on the last one! I am thinking of heading out to the farmers market this morning seeing as how I have gotten up early, and for a Saturday at that! I am an early bird though!!
