Traces of Time

Doll's head placed under an old globe Tape measure marked by the tracks of time

I am forever sensitive to the marks left by time on antique objects.
How can one resist the charm of this dressmaker’s metre with its marks that bear witness to the passage of time: worn, rendered yellow, marked but not devoid of charm.
To find pleasure in the harmony between old and new, like this adorable doll’s head, placed beneath an old glass globe.

Worn old dressmaker's dummy Doll's head placed under an old globe

Doll's head found at "Moonlight", "Clair de Lune", 14 rue du 4 septembre in Uzès.

Mixing old with new is my kind of decorating. I love items with an old and rich patina.
