Some memories of Ardèche...

A few days of holidays in the ardéchois region to recharge with one's family, to take advantage this beautiful season, to walk through the trees to collect sweet chestnuts and return with pretty memories...

And on the way back, not forget to stop in this secondhand shop that I had found on the way and in which these two wood carvings were going to bring me happiness !

Under a lead gray sky...

The sky of Provence takes on a particular color... a “lead gray” and is sometimes lit with noisy flashes !
This stormy atmosphere makes me want to take from the wardrobe a dress with the colors of the moment but with a small touch of pink added.

And so the weather plays on our moods, our desires of the moment and reminds us all the same that autumn is already here !
Just like Eivlys, I also like these beautiful shades in the house.

I dedicate this post to this beautiful campaign to raise public awareness : “Octobre rose” [Pink October].

Old ribbon-trimmed frame

I had for a long time had on my list of objects to find, an old frame trimmed with a ribbon.
So, it was to my joy that I discovered this oval frame trimmed with golden ribbon and these brass plated tie-backs.

My first idea was to restore them (because on of them was slightly damaged) and to dress them with a patina.
Perhaps a mirror would then be placed in this frame.

Then time passed and without losing sight of their true function, I imagine another purpose to them that I will show you soon...

Naturalia

Immersed in an era, a place, a universe, these are the feelings that I felt while visiting the exhibition Montpelliérain "Voyage au pays de Satin" [Voyage to the Land of Satin] inspired by the work of François Rabelais.
Discover a reconstruction of a cabinet of curiosities or rarities at the end of the Renaissance.

So inspired by this visit, I have fun arranging some treasures of nature, old books of natural history and architecture... and a scent of adventure.
A trip to preserve memories of distant lands.

Autumn colors

Gradually the autumn settles in the South and without wanting to be agitated, I await the first rains with impatience...
for the garden, of course !

This time of season made me want to bring the warm colors into my home and marry them with colder tones.
I like the brown against this gray !

Several pine cones, turned from wood and given a patina, a flower that I made with rusted wire... and autumn is already here !

Sweet thoughts...

Return from the market, loaded with fresh thoughts for a festive Sunday.
Like Viccha, I more and more like white flowers in the garden or the house.

These small darling ones, placed in pots that are old cheese strainers, will adorn the table at a birthday dear to my heart.
