Dekorasjon og inspirasjon

Definitely, I am unable to resist the Jeanne d'Arc Living's universe.

The topic “Velkommen vår!” expressed in Vakre magazine is wonderful. This green, white and gray monochrome is purely enchanting.
I thus open the magazine to my preferred pages.

Soap “Marie Papote” posed on lacy sheets that I use here to surround a small bell.
I dedicate this Scandinavian atmosphere to my friend Anne.

The toile de Jouy box

Found this weekend in a flea market, a box covered with toile de Jouy that I cannot resist showing to you placed in front of this wedding globe which is dear to my heart.

What attracted me is the originality of the fabric with a print representing a romantic scene which is usually printed in one color but on this box is multi-colored.

I really liked these small brass flowers, arranged on an old book with the very finely worked cover that the sales clerk kindly offered.

A treasure from a friend

Last weekend my letter box was nicely filled with a parcel from my friend Pampille...

A nice «antique» present.
This is a tourist guide «Diamant» from 1920 on Provence with maps from cities like Arles, Avignon, Cannes, Marseilles , Nice and Nîmes...
And some nice old-fashioned advertisements.

Thank you so much Pampille ;-)

A cane-seated chair

We sometimes find some nice objects and pieces of furniture abandoned by neighbours at street corners.
Three chairs -in a pitiful state- were leaning along the wall of a shed.
Everybody could see them...

But I was the only one to stop and have a look at them.
I asked the owner who gave them to me, maybe thinking I would use them to light a fire.

Too spoilt to be used, I imagine them as a decoration for Easter.

I put a nest with ivy in the hole of the canework.

An old-panelled door with a special patina since its painting was removed.

Board and silk

Yesterday morning I found an unexpected discovery at a Spring-like garage sale.

Old refined objects made with board and silk.
An old box, which has acquired a patina with age, is still having its delicate colour inside: weaved silk with flowers.
An egg made with board wrapped with printed silk (little mauve flowers).

Precious little objects and souvenirs were kept inside.
Those old boxes with faded colours would keep their secrets.

A temptation of macaroons

Passing by the window shop of La Maison Villaret in Nîmes, I couldn't resist temptation.
First I was amazed by the colour... very trendy, next I wanted to discover the flavour.
Some liquorisse macaroons, so good !
And they remind me of my last stay in Paris, where there is Ladurée.

A nice snack is put in the middle of a table path (Les Compagnons d'Emmaüs) embroidered with grey flowers.
Two glass cups in front of a jar «Jardin d'Ulysse»".

My kitty

I couldn't resist this illustrated score.

It is a nursery rhyme from the early 1900s.
The topic is so obsolete and funny.
Adding an adorable cage for thrushes and a nest with branches, it is charming.
