Beginning of the Season
An arrangement in my home of my little weekend finds to quietly usher in all the gentle colors of autumn !
A stack of old books with lovely labels written with a feather quill, tied with a linen string, decorated with a tassel of purple glass. A wild pansy brought from the market... in keeping with the moment, an old rosary of purple wooden beads. And finally being able to use this old enamel “rose” locket to embellish this rosary.

Autumn is such a wonderful time of year. Purple such a warming and rich colour.
It's spring here and yesterday I picked my first bunch of roses. The perfume is intoxicating.

What I love the most about your compositions of nature and pieces with an history is how organic they become. We are attracted by the color and then the eyes connect us to something else within the same color family and gradually nature takes over and we feel part of the whole.
Colors that anchor and then release. It is beautiful!
