Spring Inspiration

Spring invites itself in small touches around the house.
A old boutis (French quilt) strewed with roses in delicate colors, settles on an old cloth merchant's shelf that was touched by my brush.
Two antique treasures, long hoped for and finally unearthed.

A bouquet of almond branches in bloom, wafts through the room.
I take time to browse through the drawers and pick out some fabric flowers, perfect for composing small romantic creations.
And I dedicate this post to Christelle who kindly unveiled her beautiful universe.

I love sweet almond bushes. They grow here in Alaska and we are planning to plant more in our yard this year. Such lovely flowers, and when the petal fall as the blooms fade it looks like a pink snowfall along the hedge. I have had sugared violets before, and love having fresh nasturtiums in my salad in the summer, such peppery taste they add. Blessings ~ Eileen @ Star's Fault
