I rarely return with empty pockets from my walks in the forest.
A habit I kept from my childhood when I always came back with a little something in the pocket. This small memory, inexpensive but so dear to our heart.

To bring back memories of nature like these abandoned cozy nests and eggs or secondhand finds such as these small objects, this old zinc finial. Then mix and surround them with a touch of the season ... a oak heart !

If I found that in our wooded areas, I would be there more often. Great finds.
Such lovely things you show us here, the birds nests are so cute! And that´s all gifts from nature - for free! :)

i too do that, as do my children - and that is exactly why we wanted to start a 'museum room'....i posted about it awhile ago...
beautiful pictures and sentiments
Oh that is such a great idea. I like to use my treasures that I pick up outside on my walks in my vignettes all over the house. I have feathers and nuts and rocks tucked here and there all over the house. I have thought of putting some of them in a small cloche too.

so very, very beautiful because it is all natural and "earthy." i want to read more of your lovely blog!
There is something so special about nature's little treasures! I love bird nests, wasp nests, dirt-dobbers nests, feathers, eggs, mosses, lichen...all found objects! I just wish I could find a zinc finial like that in the woods!
Have a great weekend,
Susie
P.S. This is my first visit
Such lovely treasures brought home from your walk. I fill my pockets with "found treasures" too :-)I love the green acorns still clinging to the leaves & the heart shaped stone ♥
Al always, you make the most lovely, soulful vignettes. When I see your pictures, I want to be right there in that soft, sunny spot.
