Near the Cévennes

Near by Mialet, downstream from the Pont des Camisards (Bridge of Camisards), the Gardon flows peacefully over rocks and lush greenery.
Listen to the lapping of water on the pebbles of the river.

Pass the Moulin de la Bonté (water mill of the goodness) and take the road lined with chestnut trees.
Collect chestnuts for "rabanelles" (roasted chestnuts) that will delight young and old.

Wander in the shade of the leaves and breathe the scent of undergrowth.

How lovely! It sounds so peaceful, a great place to sit and be still, listen to the water over the rocks and just relax.

Thanks so much for the brief spell of relaxation,

Kris

Such pretty fall photos, and it reminds me of when we were in Germany watching children get chestnuts out of a stream where they had fallen.
Take Care,
Ulrike
